Hello. If you find yourself writing "it's", please take the time to see if "it is" fits into the sentence. Because that is what "it's" means. It's raining = It is raining.

"It's" is not possessive. "The rabbit crawled into it is hole" makes no sense.

Please use apostrophe-s responsibly.

Or "it has" -- i.e., "It has been raining," or "... It's been a long, long time."
