  • 06:15:11: is dragging herself out of bed. It just might be another Very Long Day.
  • 08:07:36: is trying to regain clam after an hour-long tear fest
  • 14:49:28: @Jeraleh You haven't hit the quarter-century mark already, have you?
  • 14:57:32: Today we are one hundred sixty-five years closer to the return of the King.
  • 15:44:39: wonders why cats join her on the bed... but curl up just outside petting distance. Beasts.
  • 16:38:38: is so, so tired but forcing herself to sort baby clothes, and being disturbed that they still reek of Downy/Generic Thrift Store Stench.
  • 17:40:54: thinks granola with yogurt, fruit, and extra bran is what she needs for dinner tonight. Tired of her system feeling backed up to Hackensack.
  • 20:53:36: managed to get into a spontaneous kitchen cupboard organising spree this evening. The cupboards look kind of bare now.
  • 21:17:46: has baby body parts flailing around vehemently and Spot rolled over on Dan's command. Once.

I went for my walk at just after seven this morning and it was still quite dark out and raining. That was very fun. I decided to make tater tot casserole for lunch tomorrow. That is in the fridge.

It's not even ten in the morning and it still seems really, really dark.

Going to iron and then put sewing closet stuff away.

What peals of raucous guffaws, what elky noises, what YO YO YO, what immature non-conversation emanates from the neighbours' porch.

How can a group of people sit around for a full afternoon only making noises, spiced occasionally with a piece of sentence structure? Have they NOTHING better to do?

FURTHERMORE, do they realise that my WINDOW IS OPEN and I'm about to record their hullabaloo via a voice post for posterity?

I'm not sure how much of this is actually hearable, but at first the conversation went something like this:

Woman #1: *hack cough hack*
Woman #2: That's like bronchitis. That's not just a regular cold. That sounds bad like bronchitis. Are you on antibiotics?
[various overlapping babble about bronchitis and antibiotics]

There was also a remark about somebody's spit being in someone else's whisky, "it" being all over Facebook (whatever "it" is - if only they knew how true that was) and now as I write this they're all laughing like hyenas.

Yes, this has been going on probably 4 hours now.
